Jim Rose Scam bands beware. Hotel scam beware. Circus performers beware. Jim Rose scam lawn service beware hahahahah or any other name with scam posted on the internet to character assassinate as a way to extort money or to appeal for donations or just get their name mentioned for themselves...that's the scam these days.
Let's say you go to a hotel and stay for a week and you pay them.Then you call them back in a month or 2 or whatever and make up fake complaints and threaten to smear their good name all over the internet if they don't give you x amount of money. The owner of the hotel knows that it's complete b.s and that for every 100 happy people there will always be 3 or 4 who are lunatics or are just doing it as an extortion scam. What can the owner do? They usually pay up because anyone can post a video on youtube or do a blog and it ends up on google searches.
That's why this is becoming one of the biggest scams out there. It's using new technology.

Alligator-Skin Man
This is another act you could see inside shows where a man looked like an alligator. The effect was done by dumping glue all over the body and letting it dry and crack until it appears scaly enough to be the alligator man.

Be careful of fortune tellers who say that your money problems can be solved with a spell.
After several sessions, and gaining your confidence, they will ask you to bring in 500 dollars cash for a cleansing ritual.
They take your money and sew it in a handkerchief while reciting incantations and using magic powders. They wrap a strand of hair around it and tell you to sleep with it under your pillow for a week.

Of course a week later upon opening the handkerchief, you’ll find just paper.
The fortune teller had a duplicate made ahead of time, and switched it with sleight of hand.
